Roma Confirm The Sale Of Erik Lamela To Tottenham Hotsphur

 

Tottenham Hotspur have signed Erik Lamela in a £25.8million deal.

The Italian club were waiting to sign a replacement - Adem Ljajic - before confirming the departure of the Argentina winger.

It ties with the purchase of Roberto Soldado as a club-record fee paid by Spurs, and the Lamela deal could rise by a further £4.3million depending on appearances and other conditions.

The signing of Lamela, 21, will finally allow the club to sell Gareth Bale, although the clforks still deciding whether they should fine the Welshman for missing training.

Bale is still in London awaiting a conclusion to the deal, but Daniel Levy and Franco Baldini are in Amsterdam attempting to negotiate the signing of Danish international Christian Eriksen
